These songs came to me shortly after the last album, 'Sugar Free' was released. I was reorganizing my study/home studio and checking to see if my old musical instruments and gadgets were still working when inspiration struck.

While most of my vintage equipment survived, I was sad to discover that my trusty old Korg synthesizer had given up the ghost. Thankfully, my other synth/sequencer, the Yamaha RM1X was still working. I thought I'd better make use of it before it also conks off eventually.

It's been 13 years since the first album and a lot has changed over the years.. both musically and personally. For better or for worse, I am not the same person I was all those years ago and I suppose the music is a reflection of that. This will be the first album recorded without any acoustic instruments and it will also be rather synth driven.. which is something I've never really tried before. In a way, the pop sensibilities of the songs are also a homage to my influences growing up in the 1980s. I had so much fun making this album and i hope you will enjoy these songs in these troubled times. As always, thank you for listening!
